(Reuters) – Robinhood Markets Inc is testing the app’s new crypto wallet and crypto transfer capabilities that will allow customers to send and receive digital currencies such as Bitcoin, Bloomberg News reported Monday.
The beta version of the iPhone app demonstrates the company’s commitment to such features, according to the report. (Https://bloom.bg/39lepB5)
There was also a hidden image showing the waiting list page for users signing up for the crypto wallet feature, the report added.
Robin Hood didn’t immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
The company’s individual shareholders have long been waiting for cryptocurrency wallets. The day before the brokerage firm announced its first quarterly financial results last month, the top question was https://www.reuters.com/technology/robinhoods-shareholders-are-crypto-wallets-coming-do-we-get-hoodies-2021- Say’s 08-17, a platform that allows companies to cloudsource questions from individual investors, was whether a brokerage firm had such a wallet.
